PIANO

Open to first place winners in Classes 100, 109, 125, 140, 146, 160, 175, and 202. Competitors must have performed in a minimum of TWO competitive solo classes and have achieved a first place standing with 85% or more in at least one of the qualifying classes. The trophy will be awarded to the competitor who, in the opinion of the adjudicators, gives the best performance.

Please note that previous winners of the W. Ross Macdonald Trophy are ineligible to compete in the 2008 trophy classes.  As stated above, this trophy can only be won ONCE.
 

Markwell J. Perry Trophy - Grade 10 (and award)

Open to first place winners in Classes 101, 110, 126, 141, 147, 161, and 176. Competitors must have performed in a minimum of TWO competitive solo classes and have achieved a first place standing with 85% or more in at least one of the qualifying classes. The trophy will be awarded to the competitor who, in the opinion of the adjudicators, gives the best performance.
 

VOICE - CLASSICAL

Donna Chapin Crystal Rose Bowl (and award)

Open to first place winners in Section 30. Competitors must have performed in a minimum of THREE qualifying classes and have achieved a first place standing with 85% or more. The trophy will be awarded to the competitor who, in the opinion of the adjudicators, gives the best performance.

Open to first place winners in Section 33. Competitors must have performed in a minimum of THREE qualifying classes and have achieved a first place standing with 85% or more. The trophy will be awarded to the competitor who, in the opinion of the adjudicators, gives the best performance.
 

STRINGS

Open to first place winners in Classes 1000, 1010, 1020, 1030, 1040, 1119, 1125, 1130, 1140, 1210, 1220, 1230, and 1240. The adjudicator may choose up to THREE winners from the above classes to compete for the trophy. Competitors must have performed in a minimum of THREE solo classes and have achieved a first place standing with 85% or more in at least one of the qualifying classes. Competitors must also have performed in a Quick Study or Sight Reading class. The trophy will be awarded to the competitor who, in the opinion of the adjudicators, gives the best performance.

Open to first place winners in Classes 1001, 1011, 1021, 1031, 1041, 1120, 1126, 1132, 1140, 1212, 1222, 1232, and 1240. The adjudicator may choose up to THREE winners from the above classes to compete for the trophy. Competitors must have performed in a minimum of THREE solo classes and have achieved a first place standing with 85% or more in at least one of the qualifying classes. Competitors must also have performed in a Quick Study or Sight Reading class. The trophy will be awarded to the competitor who, in the opinion of the adjudicators, gives the best performance.
 

BRASS AND WOODWINDS

Awarded annually to a competitor chosen from Classes 1400, 1405, 1410, 1420, 1430, 1440, 1450, 1480, 1485, 1490, 1505, 1515, 1535, and 1545.
 

GUITAR

Awarded annually to a competitor chosen from Classes 1700, 1706, 1711, 1720 -1727, 1729 -1732, and 1734 -1737.  Competitors must have performed in a minimum of TWO trophy classes and have achieved a first place standing with 85% or more in at least one of the qualifying classes.  The trophy will be awarded to the competitor who, in the opinion of the adjudicators, gives the best performance.
 

RICHARD BLAHA MEMORIAL SILVER TRAY (and award)

Chosen from the winners of the W. Ross Macdonald Trophy - Associate, the Markwell J. Perry Trophy - Grade 10, the Donna Chapin Crystal Rose Bowl, the Keighley Jewellers Junior Rose Bowl, the Ivone De Marchi Trophy - Associate, the Dr. Grant Honeyman Memorial Trophy - Grade 10, the Expositor Trophy, and Pat Feely's Guitar Academy Senior Trophy, who, in the opinion of the adjudicators, gives the best overall performance.
