NEW OR DIFFERENT IN 2010

Age Limit: Competitors must be under the prescribed age limit as of December 31, 2009.  This change was made to correspond with the OMFA Provincial age limits.

Quick Studies: By request to the administrator at the above email, the quick study selection may now be emailed directly to the competitor 48 hours prior to the class.  If written request via email is NOT received, and receipt of request confirmed by the administrator, the quick study must be picked up at the location 48 hours prior to the class.

Videotaping: After a trial year, the BKMF Executive Committee has decided to disallow videotaping.  As always, still photography, including cell phone cameras, is prohibited.

Piano Section: Chopin Associate - Class 140 - only ONE piece is required for this class.

String Section:

Please note there is a change in eligibility requirements for the Ivone De Marchi Trophy and the Dr. Grant Honeyman Trophy - competitors must perform in TWO competitive solo classes, one of which must be a qualifying trophy class to be eligible.

(2) Three new sections have been added - Canadian Composer Classes (Section 100), String/Piano Duo Classes (Section 102), and Non-Competitive Fiddling Classes (Section 107).
